Pacquiao lost to Marquez on the 6th out of 12 rounds. This is the fourth time fighting each other and Manny Pacquiao won all 3. He got TKO on the 6th round, 1 second till the round ended. Manny got knocked out earlier. This is the first time in his 4 fights with Marquez to get knocked out. Looks like it was not his night. You know who was there? MITT ROMNEY!

Lance Armstrong was stripped of his 7 Tour de France titles. Why? Because he was cheating. The cancer survivor often known as the best cyclist ever was found guilty taking performance enhancing drugs last week. However, his missing titles will go to no one because the second and third place finishers for every year were also doping. In fact, almost all cyclists dope. Lance Armstrong is no ordinary cyclist. He is the former CEO of Livestrong, a cancer research foundation. He stepped down last week.
The NHL persuaded it's owners and general managers to contact their players to discuss the lockout (there is a 38-day lockout that recently is happening and they just needed to discuss it with the player) last week. Team officials were permitted to talk with the players about the lockout from mid-week to friday midnight last week. Also the NHL is keeping a small group in the negotiations and prohibiting all owners and teams officials from commenting. But after hearing the players reaction people wonder whether the NHL still thinks the lockout was a good idea.
A player that shall not be named told his team that this provision basically meant that there pay cheque will be the same this year but the in years ahead there salary would be lower so basically there would be no difference it would just be like postponing an inevitable downfall, the team official was left red faced after that comment. *Editors Opinion* My opinion is maybe the NHL wanted to see what the players thought of this change. Or maybe they were trying to find out how to save even more money and take away more from the player by looking for loopholes in their statements. But I'm still confused in what the are thinking why prohibit all owners and team officials from commenting do they know something the players don't? Why speak to the players in the first place ? There are many questions going through my head as a hockey fan like many fans I just want this lockout to end and all this to be settled but unfortunately I and many fans alike will just have to wait. Christine Sinclair has accepted to be suspended from 4 games after commenting on the semi final Women's Soccer in the 2012 Olympics. She still won't take back the words she said to the referee after the game. Canada was leading 3-2, then the referee called a penalty shot for the US. That's when US tied the game. The game went overtime and the US scored again close to the end.
Charles Barkley thinks LeBron James can be better than Michael Jordan. Jordan is considered by many the best player in NBA history, but Barkley believes his teammate with the Dream Team can be surpassed by James. c"I do think he can be better than Michael," Barkley said. "I thought I would never compare somebody to Michael Jordan. But this guy,LeBron James, he does everything well. Michael did everything well.LeBron James is just bigger, stronger, faster. That's the only difference. Barkley makes his comments on the first episode of NBA TV's "Open Court," to debut Tuesday at 11 p.m. EDT. The series features a round-table discussion of NBA TV and TNT commentators. They includeShaquille O'Neal, Reggie Miller, Kenny Smith, Steve Smith, Chris Webber, Steve Kerr and Ernie Johnson. James won his first NBA title and third MVP award last season, joining Jordan as the only players to win the NBA title, regular-season MVP, NBA Finals MVP and Olympic gold medal in the same year. Jordan won six championships during his Hall of Fame career. "Unfortunately for LeBron, now that the monkey is off his back, he is going to be compared to two people: Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan," O'Neal said. "So now the question is how many championships can he get? We all know he is a competitor."
-SportsNet Dwight Howard flattened the creases across the chest of his brand-new gold jersey and joined his teammates for a group photo, joking around and laughing even while saying cheese.
The superstar centre might be an eight-year NBA veteran, but Monday still felt like the first day of school. And it was, in a way: Howard is just getting started on his real NBA education from the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant, who is just as eager to teach as Howard is to learn. "I know he's going to be tough on me, but I expect that, and I want him to be that," Howard said. "I want to be that guy. I'll take all the heat he's going to give me, because I know at the end of the day, it's going to make me a better player and a better person. … I'm willing to go through that process, learn from one of the greatest ever to play the game, and I think it'll be great." Howard and Bryant wore their gold uniforms together for the first time Monday as the Lakers opened training camp with a revamped roster and sky-high expectations. After two straight seasons ending in the second round of the playoffs, a remarkable off-season shuffle by Los Angeles general manager Mitch Kupchak and owner Jim Buss has put the Lakers in prime position to contend for their 17th NBA championship. That's Martine Wright, a former marketing manager who was travelling on London's subway on July 7, 2005, when four suicide bombers inspired by Osama bin Laden detonated explosives and killed 52 commuters. She lost both legs in the explosion. But as Wright will tell you, that wasn't the end of the story. "I will always say I was one of the lucky ones that day," she told The Associated Press earlier this year. "I survived. I don't know how I survived. I've been living my life ever since." She had stayed out late the night before, celebrating the decision to award the Summer Olympics to London. Having overslept, she didn't reach the car she normally rode. Instead, she just jumped on the train as the doors closed. It was a tragic day we give all our respect for the injured Rank Country Gold Silver Bronze Total
