20-year-old man is in hospital after he was shot in Burnaby last night.
RCMP responded to the shooting around 11:30 p.m. in the 7200 block of Salisbury Avenue in South Burnaby.
Cpl. Rick Skolrood, a spokesman for the Burnaby RCMP, said police do not believe the shooting was a random act.
However, he added that officers do not believe it was gang-related.
Investigators are searching for a suspect described as a male in his early 20s and 5-foot-8.
Skolrood said the RCMP is not releasing the condition of the victim at this time.
