Just before midnight on Friday Jan 4, 2012 a 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck 102 kilometers west of Craig, Alaska. There was a tsunami warning in place, but was cancelled later. The warning was in place for the BC coast and as far south as Victoria, BC. But the tsunami did spark a brief but not damaging tsunami. There was no reported damage yet. But it was widely felt. There was a few aftershockes like a 4.7 and 4.2. The earthquake was not far from the 7.7 quake that happened in October 2012.
