There are thousands of vending machines in Canada that still cannot accept the new $20 bills. But half of them can. And the machine owners blame the Bank of Canada. There has been 145 million banknotes in circulation since Nov. 7, 2012. There is John Lockie who is converting 1200 of his machines and still has 300 to go. Lockie blames the Bank of Canada for not giving him warnings about recalibrate their machines. Also Sabbir Kabir says his members are repersenting 9 of the biggest vending machine operaters. It could take 15 minutes to recalibrate 1 vending machine with a technician on a laptop.
